Hi Maureen! and Bula!
We had an incredible trip -- one we will never forget. The wedding was great, and the honeymoon was even greater! Where to begin...! We loved Fiji. The people are some of the nicest -- if not the nicest -- I've ever met. Everyone in our group really loved their experience.
The Sofitel was nice. The pool area was excellent. The rooms were so-so. The food was decent. We had friends staying at the Westin and Sheraton. The Westin was also really nice (better qualify food, nicer rooms, free wifi, but not as nice of a pool in my opinion) but was also considerably more expensive for drinks, etc. When we first got to Sofitel our room wasn't ready (which was to be expected) but they ended up sticking us in room which was below what we purchased and they spun it as "we'll 'upgrade' you to the Oceanside suite after 4 nights." It turns out, what they were upgrading us to was what we had originally purchased for all 9 nights. That didn't sit well with me, but they upgraded us to their nicest room (I think) after 2 nights once I put everything together and what they were trying to do.

The wedding was awesome! The setup was nice, the weather cooperated (afternoons during that time of month tended to be susceptible to wind and light rain). The staff at the reception were incredible -- there service was exceptional. And the "buffet" food we ordered for our reception was loved by all (although I didn't find their daily buffet for breakfast or dinner all that good). Everything else we did there was great -- we did quite a few excursions through Rosie Holidays (2 excursions to various islands, skydiving, zip lining jet ski tour). Rosie was great.
Likuliku UNREAL! Mandy nor I have ever been to a place like this. This place was truly incredible and would highly recommend to all your clients wanting a first-class, quiet, relaxing vacation. The snorkeling was awesome, everyone at the resort knew your first time, the food was second to none! Every meal was completely 5-star, and delicious (this is coming from 2 people who don't eat much seafood/fish, and we enjoyed every single plate they prepared -- most of which were seafood/fish oriented). With all the reviews Mandy read, she didn't recall any talking about how good the food was. It was a pleasant surprise and one of the main things we love about Likuliku. The staff here were the best; genuine, friendly -- you truly felt like family. We were sad to leave. If you ever book someone at the overwater buré's book buré 2, 1, or 10 -- with 2 being your top choice and 1 and 10 being equivalent. Our room (buré 10) was beautiful. Such a cool experience, one we would do again. Next time I'd fly in by seaplane or heli. I'm sure Mandy will chime in with more details later. We are currently on our flight from LAX to PDX.
Thank you for all your help making our dream reality. You were a great help to Mandy and I (and our friends and family). Our trip would not have been the same without your expertise and guidance.
Vinaka vekalevu!
