Matangi Island Resort is located a few miles off the north western end of Taveuni Island about an hour flight from Nadi International Airport. To get to Nadi you take a nine hour night flight from the west coast of the United States, which is great because you sleep most of the flight and wake to view the gorgeous Fijian Archipelago at the crack of dawn. Basically it's a meal, a movie a few hours sleep and your there in the morning ready for action.

Matangi Island is a great place for a romantic honeymoon, to scuba dive and snorkel on the many extraordinary coral reefs surrounding the island. Colorful tropical fish, turtles, dolphins and whales play in the aquamarine waters around Matangi. Daily scuba diving trips are available from the resort.

Matangi has some great accomodations, like their three level Tree Houses, their Beach Front Bures, (Fijian Bungalows), their Traditional Island Bures and their awesome Fijian villa, their largest accommodation.

The cuisine at Matangi Island Resort is comprised of Fijian and South Pacific delights with lots of fresh seafood, vegatables and tropical fruits and imported meats. The chef's are very talented.
