Castaway Island Vacations, Romantic Honeymoons and Castaway Island Travel Packages Castaway Island has been one of Fiji's most popular island resorts for 40 years, It's a small island, only 178 acres, however it is covered with lush tropical vegation, has an awesome beach and is located in the best possible location for scuba diving, fishing and snorkeling. The aquamarine waters around Castaway Island are calm and crystal clear, making it extremly family friendly. Castaway Island has sixty bures, (Fijian thatched bungalows) with king sized beds and two extra beds for families. There is one large bure that holds ten people. There bures are well equipped and all have private showers. Castaway Island Resort has meal plans that offer breakfast, lunch and dinner--excluding alcoholic drinks, soda pop and speciality coffees. The food is excellent, a la carte with fresh seafood, prime beef and chicken dishes. There is also pizza at the Sundowner Bar that is really good! Scuba diving at Castaway Island is PADI certified and has been awarded the highest regognitionby PADI members for it's excellent dive program and extraordinary location in the Mamanuca and Yasawa Groups.
